Install the Figma Plugin

From Figma Community

1. Open Figma → Community.
2. Search “Figma Icon Exporter”.
3. Click Install.
4. In your file, Right-click → Plugins → Figma Icon Exporter.

First Launch

• Click Scan to detect all icon slices in your page or selected frames.
• Toggle filters to refine the selection of what will be exported.
• Choose Download ZIP or Export to Repository.

Permissions & Storage

• The plugin stores tokens locally in Figma’s storage (never sent anywhere unless you trigger an export, it is sent to the GitHub/GitLab RestAPI).
• You can revoke tokens anytime from GitHub/GitLab.
